Checkout Rules and Procedures

Hold a valid FAA pilot certificate (Certified will retain a copy)
Hold current medical certificate (Certified will retain a copy)
Provide proof of citizenship (Birth Certificate or Passport) as per TSA rules
Logbook for proof of currency (Certified will retain a copy of the last 2 pages)
Logbook endorsement as per TSA requirement from a Certified Flight Instructor.
Certified Flyers II Rental Agreement (Completed and signed)
Complete an Certified Renter Checkout questionnaire for each aircraft
Complete appropriate checkout flights with an Certified CFI (as described below)
A pilot who has completed a checkout and been approved to rent a certain make and model of aircraft is automatically approved to rent other models with equivalent or lesser horse power (i.e., A pilot checked out in a C-172SP is considered proficient in a C-172P as long as pilot has previous experience in Cessna 172P with in 90 days.)
Night Rentals- reqiure Instrument rating and 30 day currency.

 

One hour ground instruction (a/c and airspace) excluding Cirrus Aircraft
One checkout flights (approximately 1.0-1.5 hrs minimum)
Type-specific written (including a weight and balance)
Certified Flyers II does not guarantee proficiency in the allotted amount of time. Any additional training that is needed for proficiency will be provided at the current rate being charged. Certified Flyers II reserves the right to refuse rental.

AIRPORT LANDING FEES AND RAMP FEES
PILOTS ARE RESPONCIBLE FOR ALL LANDINGS FEES AND RAMPS FEE THAT THEY INCUR. IF YOU LAND AT AN AIRPORT AS PIC YOU MUST FIND OUT IF THE AIRPORT IS GOING TO MAIL A FEE TO THE OWNER OF THE AIRCRAFT. IF THERE IS A FEE YOU MUST TELL THE DISPATCHER TO ADD THE FEE TO YOUR INVOICE FOR THAT FLIGHT.

Piper Arrow (Retractable Gear)
10 Hours complex/complex endorsement
10 Hours make and model within previous 6 months or a 5 hour checkout required
Basic pilot and checkout requirements still apply

Cirrus SR-20 (Cat Program Required)
Private Pilot Certificate, Instrument Rated (night)
Cirrus Transition Course (ground/simulator/flight)
Demonstrate proficiency with the use of Garmin 430 & Stec 55X autopilot
20 Hours flight time in Make/Model (Minimum)
Pass TAA/Cirrus POH Written

(LIMITED TO 3000 FT PAVED RUNWAYS)

* Effective 6/1/2005 there is a One Hour Minimum on all rentals/instructional/photo and sightseeing flights.

** All student bookings have priority over aircraft availability. If an aircraft is needed to accommodate a dual flight lesson, rental customers may be rescheduled (including weekends). Block rental customers have priority over non-block customers.

***Credit Card (CC) discount based on credit card payment. Cash discount based on cash/check payment on $2000 increments (minimum) or 10 hours of flight and instructor, which ever is greater. Block time/Gift Certificates are valid for One year from date of purchase and are not refundable. All rates are subject to change at management's sole discretion without written notice. Block money is not valid for the purchase of supplies or any other item other than aircraft rental. Please be advised that increasing fuel prices may create an increase in rental rates or add fuel surcharges. Fuel reimbursement will be credited to clients account up to $4.25 per gallon as of 1/1/2008. Certified Flyers II is not responsible for typographical errors.
